She is a visionary “Green Nanotechnology Entrepreneur”. She is Masters in Genetic Engineering, University of Bangalore and a Certified Clinical Research Professional. She was a Research Scientist at Sterling Biotechnology Ltd. working in the areas of biopharmaceuticals, recombinanat DNA technology, microbiology, biochemistry and genetics.

She has a dream of acquainting the world with the “Power of Green Nanotechnology and its Applications in umpteen fields ranging from Energy, Medicines, Optical engineering, Cancer, Solar Transplants, Robotics - NanoRobot, Defense and Security, Anti-terrorism, Forensics, Nano-fabrics, Sports, Space-crafts etc.”

She has keen interest in the research of various Nano-materials like Carbon Nanotubes, which is 250 times stronger than steel and 10 times lighter than it having applications in hybrid electric vehicles, consumer electronics, medical equipments, military devices including unmanned aerial vehicles, space-crafts, missile systems etc.

She has successfully completed Clinical Research related projects –

(1)Efficacy of lowering effect of PROLIPOSTAT on Blood Concentrations of Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-C) in patients with n normal and elevated blood concentrations of LDL-C.

(2) Phase II Study the Efficacy of the healing effect of recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF)on diabetic foot ulcers.

(3) Phase I Study – the safety and dose determination of Immuno Stimulatory therapy agent for bladder cancer, melanoma, colon cancer.

(4)Proper Use and Cost Reduction strategies for prescription and non-prescription drugs.

She has good communication, interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills, having an eye-for-detail. With his vision to empower India as a world leader in touch technology and revolutionary telecom products , Shripal transitioned from USA, where he was driving the developments for a leading nanotechnology company, Unidym (Palo Alto, CA, USA), commercializing transparent conductive film applications. During his tenure at Unidym, Mr. Gandhi worked with clients like Samsung (Korean Division), Motorola and Apple developing next generations touch screen technologies for handsets and portable navigation devices and other consumer electronic products in USA, Korea and Japan. 

He was a research scientist and a project leader at Nanomix (Emeryville, CA, USA), contributing to fundamental nanoelectronic breakthroughs that resulted in intellectual property and trade secrets. As an application development scientist, he was responsible for developing infrastructure, processes and technologies for solution phase deposition of functional nanomaterials. 

He also led a team developing nanoelectronic sensors for diagnostic and industrial gas sensing applications. A recipient of numerous scholarships he holds a MS in chemical engineering from University of California, Riverside and a BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Mumbai with 11 patents in Nanotechnology under his name. 

Receiver of a National Award and Star Youth Achiever Award Winner by STAR TV. Mr. Gandhi was responsible for spearheading the sales and marketing functions for the GSM / CDMA and Dual SIM mobile business at Leading Mobile Handset Brand , where he grew the revenue of the organization from 20 lacs to 200 Cr+ in 3 yrs.

In February 2012, he was awarded for the best campaign design for Rural Brand Development by international body, World Brand Congress A member of TiE Silicon Valley Chapter (USA). He was recently also featured in online Business Journal of Wharton School, USA - Knowledge@Wharton. Besides this, he is also a PATRON of CMO Council, India Chapter. He is also a co-founder and Managing Director of an Industrial Water Purification and Treatment Company, Water Star Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

In his spare time, he loves to conduct inspirational seminars on life, spirituality, relationships. He also enjoys reading non-fiction books, trekking, exploring new adventurous places.
 

Jitendra Jatashankar Rawal is astrophysicist and scientific educator, recognized for his work in the popularisation of science. He has served as Director of the Nehru Planetarium Mumbai. He has published about 25 research papers in national and international scientific journals, and is the president of The Indian Planetary Society.

He has received M.Sc degree(Applied Mathematics), M.Sc (Pure Mathematics from University of Mumbai. M.Phil with distinction from University of Calcutta, through Satyendra Bose Institute of Physical Science. PhD from University of Mumbai through TIFR in Astrophysics.

He is a recipient of Shri Munubhai Mehta Award and prestigious Marathi Vigyan Parishad’s. Smt. Manoramabai Apte Award, Award for Science writing by Govt. of Gujarat, Gujarat. Ratna Award, and several other prestigious awards. He has received Nation’s prestigious award for science popularization in the country given by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India at the hands of the then Minister of Science and Technology, Government of India. He was honoured for his discoveries in the Solar System by Marathi Vigyan Mahasangh and Marathi Vigyan Parishad combined at the hands of Professor B. M. Udgaonkar, very senior and respected Professor of TIFR.

He has been given Civil Honour by Corporation of Greater Mumbai, Corporations of Rajkot, Halvad and Bhuj for his contribution in research in the field of science. He won the UGC School of Einstein Theory of Relativity Award which was held at Kolhapur in 1982. He has received Awards from various Organizations like Amrita, Saurashtra Education Foundation and like. He has received Aryabhata Award from All India Ramanujan Mathematics Club.

He has been honoured by Shri Narendrabhai Modi, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat on the eve of Republic Day 26th January 2010.

Dr. Rawal was felicitated by Halvad Yuvak Mandal for his contribution in Astronomy on April 24, 2012. Dr. Rawal was honoured by citizens of Mota Devalia by Purushattam Rupala, National Vice

President of Bhartiya Janta Party and Pujya Apurva Swamy of BAPS on 16th February, 2013. Dr. Rawal is a Fellow of Gujarat Academy of Science and also a member of American

Astronomical Society and National Academy of Science of India and several other scientific societies. He is also a Visiting Professor in the Department of Physics, University of Mumbai for the past 14 years teaching Astrophysics in the second year of M. Sc.. In connection withInternational Conferences and Short Visiting Fellowships and Professorships, he has visitedUSA, Japan, Germany, Australia, South Korea, Iran, Austria, Czechoslovakia Malaysia several times. He is Hindi Kovid, Sanskrit Bhushan, Sanskrit Kovid and has Diploma in German Language.

Dr. Rawal was invited as the Visiting Professor by the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for one month in September, 2012. He has been invited to be the Visiting. Professor for two years in the University of Malaya. Dr. Rawal is the Founder President of the Indian Planetary Society and he is heading the Society in its endeavor to popularize Astronomy and allied subjects and to carry out research in these fields, and under his Presidentship the Society has received two very prestigious awards (1) National Awards for Society’s scientific activities in the year 2005 given by Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India .

Dr. Rawal has interest in music, singing, drawing, reading, art, history, philosophy and travelling.
